Mr. Lynch graduated from Lafayette College in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts and History degree. He attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio Texas graduating in 1979. That same year he became a member of the District of Columbia Bar. Over the course of his 30 year career, Mr. Lynch has repeatedly been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, D.C. Super Lawyers and by Washingtonian Magazine in the area of Insurance Defense Litigation.

Mr. Lynch’s reputation as a lawyer is primarily built on his successful track record before juries in the Washington Metropolitan area. Of the many jury trials taken to verdict in which Mr. Lynch has served as a lead counsel, judgment for the Plaintiff has only been entered twice.  His clients can be confident that if a liability argument is to be made, it is always persuasively presented by Mr. Lynch.

In addition to his experience at trial, Mr. Lynch has successfully argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the State of Maryland Court of Appeals. The majority of these cases involve the area of premises liability including extremely serious allegations involving third party criminal acts and a landowner’s liability to rescue personnel.

Mr. Lynch has also been involved in cases and appeals involving the area of insurance coverage. Among these are several significant subrogation matters that recovered millions of dollars in expended costs and liability payments on behalf of his insurance company clients and the denial of coverage in various policy interpretation matters.

Over the last several years, as more and more matters have been moved in to binding arbitration, Mr. Lynch’s reputation within the metropolitan legal community has helped him to consistently garner very favorable results for his clients.

Mr. Lynch is a managing partner of Macleay, Lynch, & Lapidus, P.C.
